Aerostrike Review
Few game genres immediately muster such a feeling of hostility and intensity as a good shoot ‘em up (or shmup), and those that do it right can create an instantly engaging experience. Aerostrike is a game that does just that. Rather than a vertically-scrolling shmup (like Gradius) or horizontally scrolling (like R-Type), this one moves in four directions freely, more akin to the Thunder Force games of yore, which not only means that you’re dealing with threats from all directions freely, it also adds a more tactical dimension to how you use the space available to you.

Space Action
This game’s campaign ramps things up steadily but sharply, always introducing new threats, be it bigger and bulkier ships or speedy-fighter types that you have to out-maneuver. There’s a wonderful variety of both enemies and environments that keep you moving constantly on your toes, and the bullets fly fast. Sometimes, you’re whittling down a fleet of smaller ships, sometimes you’re chipping down a big, bulky cruiser, and occasionally, you’re in a one-on-one dogfight.
